Coaching focused on structure, accountability, and performance on the platform.

About
I’m a competitive powerlifting coach and athlete based in Colorado, focused on developing lifters through structured training, technical execution, and long-term progression. In addition to coaching, I serve as a USAPL State Referee, which has further shaped my understanding of competition standards and what it takes to perform on the platform.I hold certifications as an NCSF Certified Personal Trainer, USAPL Level 1 Club Coach, and NASM Certified Nutrition Coach. My coaching centers around competitive powerlifting, with an emphasis on intentional training, clear progression, and preparing athletes to perform on the platform.I work with lifters who want more than random training or generic programs. Every phase of training is structured with a purpose, whether the goal is building a foundation, refining technique, or preparing for competition. The objective is always the same, show up ready to execute. On meet day, my athletes are not left to figure things out on their own. I provide attempt selection, handling, and guidance throughout the competition so they can focus on performing. My wife, who is also a competitive powerlifter, assists with handling to ensure our athletes stay on track and fully supported.Alongside private coaching, I serve as the volunteer advisor and head coach of the Iron Mavericks Barbell Club at Colorado Mesa University. Working with both collegiate and private athletes has shaped how I approach coaching across different levels of experience and commitment. My coaching style is straightforward. I value structure, honest communication, and consistency. Progress is built over time through disciplined work done well.If you’re serious about getting stronger and stepping onto the platform with confidence, I’m here to guide that process.

My Coaching Philosophy
I believe strength is built through structure, consistency, and trust in the process. Good training isn’t random, it’s the result of a plan, thoughtful adjustments, and showing up to execute week after week.My coaching focuses on technical development, intelligent programming, and preparing lifters for the demands of competition. At the same time, I believe performance on the platform starts with the athlete. Confidence, discipline, and consistency are built through training, not just tested by it.Every phase of training has a purpose. The goal is not just to get stronger, but to develop lifters who understand their training, take ownership of the process, and can perform when it matters.I expect athletes to communicate honestly and put in consistent effort. My role is to guide that process, provide structure, and make adjustments when needed so progress continues over time.Failure is part of the process. Missed lifts and difficult sessions are not setbacks, they are feedback. We use that information, adjust, and keep moving forward without losing direction. At the end of the day, the goal is simple: build stronger, more capable lifters who step onto the platform with confidence and the ability to execute.

Programming is built around your individual goals and adjusted at the end of each training block to ensure continued progress. If you plan to compete, I will also provide guidance for attempt selection and a structured plan for warm-ups and meet day execution. Communication remains open for questions and support.
